Bebe Jumeau engraved EJA 12

Bebe JUMEAU Signed E.J.A. (also known as "bebe incassable perfectionne").This doll was produced for only two or three years (about 1879 to 1882) and available in only two larges sizes  10 and 12.The shape of the head is very specific, "elongated and ovoid" and always made of a very thin pressed bisque. The ears were always separately modeled and applied. The complexion was pale and the eyes always of the "human" type produced by Guepratte for Jumeau company.

The signature was incised on the neck EJ above and A above a size number (in an other instance the bebe was marked only with the letter A and size number or marked sometimes with only the size number 10 or 12). The body has the "Jumeau medaille d'or Paris" stamp on the back torso. In definitive this model is very unique and a great rarity! Someone consider it like the masterpiece of Emile-louis JUMEAU.
